You can easily book a tour via our website. Go to the page of the desired tour, select the date and number of people, and complete your booking directly online. After payment, you will receive a confirmation by email with all practical information, such as the exact departure time, location, and any necessary preparations.
It is recommended to book your tour in advance, especially during busy periods, to ensure availability. If you have special requests or are booking for a larger group, please feel free to contact us for a suitable solution.
Are there age restrictions for the tours?
Most of our tours are suitable for all ages. However, certain conditions may apply depending on the activity, such as for more intensive hikes or excursions with a higher level of physical exertion.
For some tours we have a minimum age requirement or recommend a certain level of physical fitness. This is always clearly stated on the relevant tour page. If you are unsure whether a tour is suitable for you or your party, please feel free to contact us. We are happy to think along with you and give you honest advice on the best choice.
What is included in the tour package?
What is included exactly varies per tour. In many cases, guidance by a local guide, transport during the tour, food, and any entrance fees are included.
Some tours also include extras such as extensive buffets, drinks, or hotel pick-up and drop-off. This is always clearly stated on the specific tour page, so you know exactly what to expect in advance.

What is the cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy may vary per tour. In most cases, you can cancel your booking free of charge up to a certain number of days before the scheduled date. For later cancellations or no-shows, cancellation fees may apply.

Is Cape Verde safe for tourists?
Cape Verde is generally a safe travel destination for tourists. The islands are known for their hospitable population and relatively low crime rates. As with any destination, we recommend taking standard precautions: do not leave valuables unattended and be alert in crowded areas. Our local guides know the island inside and out and will ensure your trip is safe and carefree.
What is the best season to visit Cape Verde?
Cape Verde has a pleasant climate all year round. The dry season runs from November to July and is ideal for hikes and tours: little rain, temperatures between 22 and 28 degrees. The summer (August to October) is warmer and more humid. For hikes on Santiago, we recommend the dry season, when the trails are dry and easily accessible.
Do I need a visa for Cape Verde as a Dutch citizen?
Yes, Dutch citizens need a visa to visit Cape Verde. You can easily apply for this via the EASE system (Electronic Authorization for Staying and Entry) of the Cape Verdean government. You do this online before departure. Make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months after your travel date. You can find more information on our visa page.
Which island is best for hiking?
Santiago is the island where we organize all tours and hikes. It is the largest island of Cape Verde and offers a huge variety of landscapes: from historic cities like Cidade Velha to rugged mountain peaks like Pico de Antónia (1,392 meters) and the beautiful Serra Malagueta nature reserve.
How fit do you need to be for a hike on Santiago?
This depends on the hike you choose. We offer hikes for various fitness levels, from easy (such as the city tour in Cidade Velha) to challenging (such as the climb of Pico de Antónia). A normal hiking condition is sufficient for most hikes. Are you in doubt whether a hike suits you? Feel free to contact us.
Can I pay with Euros in Cape Verde?
The official currency of Cape Verde is the Cape Verdean escudo (CVE), which is pegged to the euro. In many hotels, restaurants, and shops on Santiago, you can also pay with euros. You can easily book and pay for our tours online in euros via our website.
What language is spoken in Cape Verde?
The official language of Cape Verde is Portuguese, but most Cape Verdeans also speak Cape Verdean Creole (Kriolu). In the tourism sector, many people also speak English. Our guides speak Dutch, so as a Dutch-speaking tourist you will always be well assisted.
