Pico d’Antónia: Advanced Hike with Lunch

After pickup in Praia (or at the agreed meeting point), you will travel to the starting point of the hike, where your guide will give a brief briefing and check that everyone is ready for the ascent.

The trek follows a challenging route through green valleys, steep mountain paths, and small rural villages where traditional agriculture is still part of daily life. This experience is intended for experienced hikers with a good level of physical fitness. Along the way, your guide will share insights about the nature, geology, and life in the highlands of Santiago, with planned stops to rest, hydrate, and take photos.

As you climb higher, the landscape becomes more rugged and the views increasingly impressive. Reaching the summit of Pico d’Antónia is the absolute highlight of the day. From the top, you enjoy sweeping panoramic views across the island, with coastlines visible in multiple directions on clear days.

After the descent, the pace slows down as you head to Quinta da Montanha. Here you relax and recover with an extensive buffet in a natural setting — an ideal end to an active and fulfilling day before returning to Praia.
